Duration:12 month Renewable Contract

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Lead Umbilical Engineer for a major offshore Oil & Gas development.The position will provide specialist technical leadership across subsea umbilical and fibre optic cable activities, covering the lifecycle from detailed engineering and design through fabrication, testing, installation and commissioning.

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Lead Umbilical Engineer for a major offshore Oil & Gas development.The position will provide specialist technical leadership across subsea umbilical and fibre optic cable activities, covering the lifecycle from detailed engineering and design through fabrication, testing, installation and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership for subsea umbilical and FOC engineering activities.
- Review contractor and vendor engineering documentation and technical queries.
- Ensure relevant project requirements, international codes and standards are incorporated into engineering and execution.
- Oversee fabrication, testing and qualification activities.
- Support FAT, SAT and PQT activities.
- Coordinate technical interfaces across SURF, SPS, Telecom and other project packages.
- Support preparation for offshore installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
- Ensure QA/QC and HSE requirements are effectively implemented.
- Provide technical input to interface and risk management activities.
- 15+ years' experience within Oil & Gas projects.
- Proven specialist knowledge of deep and shallow water subsea umbilical engineering.
- Strong umbilical installation experience.
- FOC installation knowledge, including nearshore and landfall activities.
- Experience within large-scale, technically complex Oil & Gas projects.
- Strong knowledge of applicable industry regulations, codes and standards.
- Expertise in QA/QC, NDT and metallurgy.
- Collaborative, pragmatic and project-focused approach.
- Strong English capability.
- Ability to undertake international travel as required
