Job Specification
Responsible for mechanical equipment (Primary Specialization in Static Equipment) engineering activities for NFPS Compression Project-Engineering Shared resources. Ensure mechanical equipment engineering activities comply with project requirements and specification.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience
• 8 years’ experience in Engineering roles specially in Mechanical Equipment discipline, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, at least 3 years in offshore and including 1 years’ experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor/subcontractors/service/vendor personnel.
• Primary specialization in Static Equipment design development with knowledge on equipment packages and rotating equipment.
• In-depth understanding of various equipment design Codes and Standards.
• Previous Brownfield and Greenfield engineering and execution knowledge in both Offshore and Onshore areas.
• Proven working experience with relevant international standards, in particular ASME Sec VIII Div.1 & 2, API, UL, NFPA, etc..
• Added advantage if possess past experience with equipment fabricator / manufacturer.
• Experience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry.
• Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
Technical and Business Skills
• List all minimum, mandatory technical and business skills required.
• Undertakes complex tasks and acts as a source of guidance for staff and internal customers. Is expected to handle all but the most complex problems and difficulties that might arise.
• Takes initiatives, based on experienced gained, to deliver timely and cost-effective service.
• Sets situations/issues in the context of the entire team and has an appreciation of the wider relationships with other people and organizations.
• Works independently within established procedures, plans and budgets and contributes to the development of these.
• Has autonomy over scheduling and planning of own work; organizes efforts of work group to achieve overall efficiency.
• Possess sound knowledge and hands-on experience in technical bid and tendering processes, particularly for Capital and major projects.
