As NDT QA/QC Specialist, you will act as the technical reference for Non-Destructive Testing within the Site QA/QC team, working alongside QC Inspectors and the Welding QA/QC Specialist, and reporting to the NDT QA/QC Lead. You will ensure that NDT activities performed by contractors and subcontractors meet project specifications, applicable codes and international quality standards, contributing directly to the safe and compliant delivery of the facility.

The onshore facilities include LNG production trains, storage, marine loading facilities, utilities and site infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to join a large-scale, multi-year, multicultural construction project at its peak execution phase.

Key Responsibilities
● Review contractor and subcontractor NDT quality plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), NDT procedures and technique sheets (RT, UT, PAUT, TOFD, AUT, MT, PT, VT) for compliance with project specifications and applicable codes.
● Perform daily field surveillance and inspection of NDT activities carried out by contractors, subcontractors and the supply chain.
● Verify NDT procedure implementation on site, including monitoring of key examination parameters during fabrication and erection.
● Witness NDT operator qualification examinations and confirm the qualified status of NDT personnel.
● Review NDT examination results (radiographic film/digital interpretation, UT/PAUT/TOFD data, MT/PT/VT reports), characterize indications and follow up on defects.
● Verify traceability of NDT consumables, equipment calibration records and personnel certifications.
● Support resolution of NDT-related technical queries and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), including root-cause analysis.
● Coordinate daily with site NDT specialists and the Welding QA/QC Specialist on examination sequencing, hold and witness points.
● Contribute to site-level NDT audits and support a strong HSE and Quality culture within the NDT discipline.
● Consolidate NDT performance data and contribute to project quality KPI reporting.

Qualifications/ Experience Required
● Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical or NDT Engineering) or equivalent technical qualification.
● Minimum 8 years' experience in NDT QA/QC or related disciplines, including at least 3 years in a technical specialist or senior NDT inspector role in the oil & gas industry.
● ISO 9712 NDT Level II (or equivalent ASNT Level II) in at least two techniques among RT, UT, MT, PT — RT and UT preferred.
● Hands-on experience with advanced NDT methods (PAUT, TOFD, AUT) is highly valued.
● Demonstrated experience on major oil & gas or LNG projects of comparable scale and complexity.
● Certified Welding Inspector qualification (CSWIP 3.1 / AWS CWI / IWT / IWI-S) is an asset.
● Radiation Safety / Radiation Protection training appropriate to the role.
● Strong HSE culture and safety leadership.
● Excellent command of written and spoken English; working knowledge of Portuguese or French is an asset.
● Willingness and ability to work in a remote site rotational environment; prior experience in sub-Saharan Africa is an advantage.

Technical Requirements
1 Engineering degree + NDT specialization. Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical or NDT) or equivalent, plus post-qualification specialization in NDT/Inspection/Materials.
2 8+ years' NDT QA/QC experience Minimum 8 years in NDT QA/QC or related disciplines, including at least 3 years as technical specialist or senior NDT inspector in oil & gas.
3 ISO 9712 / ASNT Level II certification Level II in at least two techniques among RT, UT, MT, PT (RT and UT preferred); progression toward Level III is valued.
4 Advanced NDT methods (PAUT / TOFD / AUT)
Hands-on experience with advanced volumetric techniques is highly desirable given the project's welding and piping scope.
5 Major LNG / O&G project
experience
Demonstrated hands-on NDT examination and interpretation experience on projects of comparable scale and complexity.
6 Code and standards knowledge Working knowledge of ASME V, ASME IX, ASME B31.3,
AWS D1.1, EN ISO 17636/17640/17638/3452 and API standards.
7 Radiation Safety / Radiation
Protection training
Required where the role involves witnessing or overseeing radiographic operations, including controlled-area set-up and dosimetry compliance.
8 Welding inspection interface qualification (asset)
CSWIP 3.1 / AWS CWI / IWT / IWI-S qualification supports coordination with the Welding QA/QC Specialist on defect characterization.
9 Prior  IOC project experience (desirable)
Familiarity with major-operator General Specifications and Attachment S quality requirements is an advantage for onboarding speed.
10 English proficiency + remote-site readiness
Excellent written/verbal English required; Portuguese or French an asset. Must be fit for rotational deployment to a remote site (Afungi).
