NES Fircroft is seeking experienced Operations & Maintenance Technicians to support a utility-scale gas-fired power generation facility in Spring Hill, Florida.
This is an excellent opportunity for power generation professionals with combined cycle or simple cycle experience who enjoy a hands-on role involving plant operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and equipment reliability.

NES Fircroft is seeking experienced Operations & Maintenance Technicians to support a utility-scale gas-fired power generation facility in Spring Hill, Florida.
This is an excellent opportunity for power generation professionals with combined cycle or simple cycle experience who enjoy a hands-on role involving plant operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Start, monitor, and operate plant equipment as required by dispatch and operational needs.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues.
- Calibrate instruments and devices using appropriate test equipment.
- Complete inspections, maintenance records, and work orders within the CMMS system.
- Support outage planning, warehouse activities, and overall plant reliability initiatives.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and housekeeping standards.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a combined cycle power plant, simple cycle facility, or similar industrial environment.
- Experience with DCS systems, turbine controls, and generator operations.
- Understanding of control loops, relay logic, and motor controls.
- Familiarity with protective relaying and electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience installing, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial or power generation equipment and systems.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Gas turbine power generation experience.
- Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) maintenance experience.
- Plant commissioning, startup, or outage support experience.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning processes.
- 24/7 operating facility.
- Rotating 4-on / 4-off schedule with 12-hour shifts.
- Long-term contract opportunity.
- Candidates must be able to climb ladders, work at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, wear respiratory protection, and work in varying environmental conditions.
