Operation & Maintenance Technician (On-Site)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operation & Maintenance Technician to support the operation and maintenance of a renewable hydrogen production facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the plant while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with all safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor hydrogen production processes in accordance with operational procedures and HSE requirements.
  • Perform plant operations including the filling of compressed high-pressure hydrogen into transport containers.
  • Conduct quality control activities and ensure accurate completion of shipping and transport documentation in accordance with ADR regulations.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and perform routine maintenance on mechanical, electrical and control systems.
  • Analyse site operating parameters and contribute to the development of performance monitoring and reporting indicators.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to identify faults, investigate issues and implement corrective actions and improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, including operating procedures, user manuals and technical notes.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and quality standards throughout plant operations.
  • Participate in occasional business travel as required to support operational activities.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar operations and maintenance role within an industrial environment.
  • Practical experience operating industrial gas production facilities independently.
  • Experience with industrial gases, pressure systems and compressed gas storage and transportation is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, process equipment and gas processing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Valid driver's licence.

  • Fluent German language skills and technical English proficiency for reading documentation and participating in meetings.
