Purpose
The purpose of this document is to describe the duties and responsibilities governing the Preservation & Maintenance Lead person based at Client Site in Greater New Orleans region.
Job Summary
The Preservation & Maintenance Lead for the client facility is a critical role, which requires a strong background in maintenance, organizational management, and HSSE implementation. Knowledge of deepwater oil and gas equipment is required. A strong understanding of procedures to preserve and maintain the equipment and materials is essential. As a strategic role within Client Site, the Maintenance Lead will embark on implementing the materials management processes, systems, and ongoing preservation of materials efforts. This role requires very strong skills in communication, organization, and the incorporation of new activities and processes within a large and independent organization; sensitivities to customer requirements and the preservation and accounting of materials will be paramount. A performance based management approach is expected with key metrics tracking service levels on a regular basis.

Responsibilities
- Management of personnel – ensure training and development of Preservation and Maintenance contract personnel.
- Responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental safeguarding (HSSE) in conjunction with the Site Manager.
- Lead JSEA’s for all maintenance activities.
- Responsible for the management of all activities required to maintain the facility, equipment and items stored at the facility.
- Responsible for the planning and scheduling of all work-orders related to regulatory (i.e. federal, state, local, OSHA, etc.) compliance.
- Facilitate the creation and approval of preservation maintenance job plans for asset owned equipment.
- Manage all aspects of third party personnel working on site including HSE, supervision and quality of work.
- Responsible for the planning, scheduling and reconciliation of all work-orders.
- Responsible for assessing equipment upon arrival to identify maintenance needs and communicate with the equipment owner to maintain a “fit for use” condition.
- Coordinate rental of special material handling equipment as required to complete PM activity.
- Proactively work with item owner to identify scrap /surplus, obsolete items.
- Communicate to customers the service levels through a robust KPI program.
- Participate in any annual planning and objective setting for the team.
- Lead and promote the identification and implementation of innovation opportunities.
- Perform duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Site Supervisor.
- Skills and Experiences
- Ten (10) years required in a leadership role related to preservation and maintenance of oilfield materials.
- Five (5) years managing people - demonstrating the understanding of building and leading a diverse workforce.
- Exceptional skills proven in Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental safeguarding (HSSE).
- Five (5) or more years working with systems and materials such as offshore platform operations, drilling rigs, wellheads, and sub sea to ensure knowledge of preserving and maintaining materials.
- Experience in dealing with 3rd party service providers for facility upkeep and preservation of materials.
- Skilled in the use of IT tools and desktop software applications.
- Experience in facility management systems preferred.
- Exceptional skills in developing processes and procedures.
- Experience in managing performance by using metrics (key performance indicators), scorecards, and performance reviews.
- Strong behavioral skills, including bias towards performance, business awareness, leading, and influencing people, partnership, and teamwork, business decision making, creativity and innovation.
- Sound financial understanding including familiarity with economic analysis, financial decision-making, planning, and financial statement analysis.
- Proven strategic planning and demonstrated analytical type (troubleshooting) problem solving skills
