Senior Process Safety Engineer / HAZOP-LOPA Leader
📍 Paris Area, France | 📅 12-Month Renewable Contract
We are seeking an experienced Process Safety Engineer to support major industrial and energy transition projects across Europe.

We are seeking an experienced Process Safety Engineer to support major industrial and energy transition projects across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA and SIL studies
- Develop and implement process safety strategies throughout project execution
- Support the definition of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and safety-critical functions
- Perform risk and consequence assessments using tools such as DNV PHAST
- Contribute to Fire & Gas, ESD, ATEX, and PSSR activities
- Provide process safety expertise to multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Degree in Chemical, Process or Safety Engineering
- 5+ years of Process Safety experience
- Proven experience leading HAZOP and LOPA workshops
- Strong knowledge of IEC 61508 and IEC 61511
- Experience with complex process industries (industrial gases, chemicals, petrochemicals, hydrogen, energy, etc.)
- Fluent English with the ability to facilitate international workshops
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- High-profile industrial and energy transition projects
