Procurement Discipline Advisor - Sourcing, Contracting & CDD  We are seeking an experienced Procurement Discipline Advisor - Sourcing, Contracting and CDD to play a critical role in supporting a major energy development programme within the Middle East  region.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine procurement excellence, compliance leadership, risk management and cost recovery expertise in a complex and highly regulated operating environment. Working within a multidisciplinary procurement team, you will help ensure robust governance, effective supplier due diligence, compliance with contractual obligations, and the successful delivery of procurement outcomes that support strategic business objectives.
This role is inside IR-35 and candidates will need a right to work in the UK 

What You'll Deliver Success in this role will be measured by your ability to:

• Ensure all counterparties, suppliers, subcontractors and joint venture partners are appropriately screened and approved before engagement, protecting the organisation from compliance and reputational risk.
• Drive compliance with Counterparty Due Diligence (CDD), anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, sanctions, tax and procurement governance requirements.
• Deliver effective risk management through timely identification, assessment and resolution of supplier and counterparty risks.
• Establish and maintain accurate compliance and due diligence records across procurement platforms and systems, including ARAVO and ERP solutions.
• Build strong working relationships between local operational teams, national partners and remote category teams to ensure alignment to business priorities and procurement governance requirements.
• Support the development of efficient and compliant procurement and contracting practices through collaboration with national partners and key stakeholders.
• Provide expert guidance on supplier due diligence matters, escalating risks and driving timely resolution of compliance concerns.
• Lead and continuously improve cost recovery processes, ensuring required documentation is complete, validated and audit-ready.
• Support cost recovery audits by providing robust evidence and documentation, minimising financial leakage and protecting value.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable contractual obligations and local regulatory requirements.
• Deliver practical sourcing guidance, procurement procedures, compliance frameworks, training materials and system adoption initiatives.
• Lead audit responses, compliance reviews and corrective actions while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Coach and develop procurement professionals on compliance, governance and cost recovery requirements.
• Partner with technical, project and commercial stakeholders to ensure products and services are delivered safely, contractually and to specification.
• Act as a key interface with suppliers and national partners, providing market insight and strengthening strategic supplier relationships.
• Promote a culture of compliance, psychological safety and continuous learning across the procurement community.

What You'll Need to Be Successful You will hold a degree in Procurement, Audit, Engineering, Business, or another relevant discipline. Professional certification such as CIPS Chartered Status (or equivalent) is desirable.

More importantly, you will bring:

• A genuine passion for the energy industry and supply chain management.
• Proven experience delivering procurement, audit, compliance and counterparty due diligence activities within complex operating environments.
• Approximately 5+ years of procurement experience, ideally within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong understanding of procurement excellence, supplier management, contracting and project execution processes.
• Demonstrated experience managing supplier and counterparty risk frameworks.
• Knowledge of procurement compliance requirements, governance frameworks and cost recovery principles.
• Experience supporting large capital projects, onshore operations or complex service contracts.
• Strong commercial acumen coupled with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines, cultures, geographies and stakeholder groups.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment on complex issues.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust quickly.
• A track record of delivering practical, agile solutions that create measurable business value.
• The ability to prioritise effectively, work under pressure and confidently make recommendations in dynamic environments.
• Familiarity with procurement technologies, ERP systems and supplier management platforms.
• A growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement and capability development.
