Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Manage a range of strategic initiatives focused on product cost efficiency, technology development, and business performance, translating organizational priorities into measurable outcomes.
- Bring together multidisciplinary teams across product engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, supply chain, and commercial functions to deliver complex improvement programs.
- Evaluate investment proposals and business opportunities, assess financial implications, track expected savings, and measure the impact of implemented initiatives.
- Develop a structured approach to portfolio management, ensuring clear priorities, consistent project oversight, effective decision-making processes, and reliable progress reporting.
- Improve project management practices, governance frameworks, and supporting tools to increase transparency, accountability, and execution effectiveness.
- Consolidate portfolio performance data and prepare management-level updates, recommendations, and analyses to support strategic planning and business transformation.
- Identify opportunities to improve collaboration, streamline decision-making, and maximize the commercial value of product and technology initiatives.
- University degree in engineering, technology, business, project management, or a comparable discipline.
- Professional background in program or portfolio management, PMO, product cost optimization, or a related function within a manufacturing or technology-oriented business.
- Understanding of product lifecycle and development activities, and the coordination of cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Practical experience in financial modelling, cost analysis, business case preparation, savings calculations, or value improvement programs.
- Ability to translate technical and financial information into actionable business recommendations and monitor results against defined objectives.
- Strong communication and presentation capabilities, with confidence in working with senior management and influencing stakeholders across different functions.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives in a complex, international business environment.
