Project Delivery Manager
Location: Grangemouth
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Employee
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days office/site, 2 days remote)
Hours: Monday to Friday

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Delivery Manager to join our team in Grangemouth on a full-time, permanent basis.

Operating within a hybrid working arrangement, with three days per week based in the office/site and two days working remotely, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall technical, commercial and operational delivery of engineering and EPC projects from contract award through to completion and close-out.

The Project Delivery Manager will ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, within budget and in line with client expectations, contractual requirements and business objectives while maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead the successful delivery of projects from contract award through to completion and close-out.
  • Maintain overall responsibility for technical, commercial and operational project performance.
  • Establish project objectives, priorities, schedules and delivery strategies.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Chair and facilitate project meetings, reviews and progress updates with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify project risks, issues and opportunities and implement effective mitigation measures.
  • Ensure all project phases are executed efficiently and in line with client expectations.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, project teams, contractors and vendors.
  • Act as the primary interface between client and project delivery teams.
  • Respond proactively to client requirements and changing priorities.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment across all project stakeholders.
  • Protect and enhance the reputation and interests of both the business and its clients.
Commercial & Financial Management
  • Oversee the preparation and approval of project cost estimates and budgets.
  • Monitor project expenditure, revenue, forecasts and overall financial performance.
  • Ensure robust change management processes are implemented and maintained.
  • Support commercial decision-making through sound contractual and financial judgement.
  • Ensure project delivery remains fully compliant with contractual obligations.
Resource & Team Management
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to project personnel.
  • Ensure appropriate resources are allocated to meet project requirements.
  • Support recruitment, workforce planning, training and development activities.
  • Set clear goals, priorities and performance expectations for project teams.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support the professional development of direct reports where applicable.
Health, Safety, Environment & Quality
  • Promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture across all project activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE and quality requirements.
  • Lead by example and challenge unsafe behaviours and practices.
  • Support risk management activities and the implementation of control measures.
  • Ensure adherence to company management systems, procedures and industry best practice.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure accurate project reporting, planning and performance monitoring.
  • Provide operational input into management review meetings.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned activities.
  • Review and contribute to the development of company procedures, policies and systems.
  • Undertake office, client, site and occasional offshore visits as required to assess project performance, support project teams, strengthen client relationships and drive successful project delivery.
Candidate Requirements Essential Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • PMI, APM or equivalent Project Management qualification.
  • Membership of a recognised professional body.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Offshore certification.
Essential Experience & Skills
  • Significant experience in a Project Delivery Manager, Project Manager or similar leadership role.
  • Proven experience delivering complex engineering, EPC, energy or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering environments and interfaces.
  • Demonstrable experience managing projects through all phases, from planning and execution to close-out.
  • Strong commercial, financial and contractual awareness.
  • Experience using project planning and scheduling software.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, risk management and decision-making capabilities.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience within the oil & gas, petrochemical, energy or industrial sectors.
  • Understanding of relevant industry codes, standards and regulations.
  • Experience supporting offshore operations, construction or maintenance activities.
