Project Engineer - Data Center Utilities

Job description
Our client is seeking a Project Engineer - Utilities to support the successful delivery of large-scale Data Center construction projects. This role serves as a key technical resource for the project team, helping coordinate project documentation, procurement, subcontractor activities, and change management processes while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, vendors, and field personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
• Coordinating equipment, materials, procurement, and schedules
• Working closely with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and the owner
• Supporting cost control, contract administration, and project documentation
• Reviewing submittals for compliance with contract documents
• Managing project logs, meeting documentation, as builts, and closeout
• Identifying potential project risks and helping resolve issues before they impact schedule or cost
• Supporting and developing Field Engineers on the project team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of project engineering, field engineering or construction management experience on Data Center projects (earthwork)
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, scheduling, procurement, and cost control processes.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
