QA/QC Manager
Location: Brunsbüttel, Germany (Residential, Site-Based)
Project: Major LNG Infrastructure Development
Contract: 12-Month Renewable Contract
Start Date: ASAP
The Opportunity
We are supporting a major energy infrastructure project in Brunsbüttel, Germany, and are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to join the site team on a long-term contract basis.
This is a fully site-based position, offering the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring project quality standards are achieved throughout construction and commissioning activities. Working closely with project management, engineering, construction and contractor teams, the QA/QC Manager will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, standards and client requirements.
Previous LNG experience is not essential but could be advantageous. Candidates with strong QA/QC management experience gained on large-scale infrastructure, industrial, energy, power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, process plant, or major construction projects are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities across the project.
  • Implement and maintain the project's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards and contractual requirements.
  • Manage inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality procedures and quality records.
  • Oversee contractor and subcontractor quality performance.
  • Conduct audits, surveillance activities and quality assessments.
  • Review and approve quality documentation, procedures and inspection reports.
  • Manage non-conformance reporting (NCR) processes and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate inspection activities with construction, engineering and client representatives.
  • Monitor quality KPIs and prepare quality reports for project management.
  • Support project turnover, handover and commissioning quality requirements.
  • Promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Quality Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in a QA/QC Manager position on major capital projects.
  • Proven track record supporting projects during construction and execution phases.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and quality assurance principles.
  • Experience managing contractor and subcontractor quality activities within a site environment.
  • Familiarity with international quality standards and audit processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of inspection, testing, welding, fabrication and construction quality requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • German or Spanish language capability would be advantageous but is not essential.
