Role purpose
Provide technical support and coordinate major maintenance for rotating equipment to ensure safe, reliable start-up, operation, and long-term availability across onshore LNG / process facilities.

Reporting / Interfaces

  • Reports to: Head of Mechanical (no direct reports)
  • Works with: Operations Expansion & Start-Up, Maintenance, Operations, Supply, Safety, Engineering & Projects
  • External: OEMs, vendors, suppliers, contractors
Key responsibilities

  • Support rotating equipment through construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, system completion, and start-up to ensure readiness.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues during operation to minimize downtime and protect plant availability.
  • Plan/support major planned and unplanned maintenance (overhauls, repairs, refurbishment) and verify quality to applicable standards/specs.
  • Coordinate gas turbine and compressor maintenance with asset maintenance teams and OEMs.
  • Review critical spares, obsolescence risks, and recommend procurement/upgrade actions.
  • Drive reliability improvements via bad-actor analysis, modifications, upgrades, and RCFA actions.
  • Participate in RCFA, risk assessments, and HAZOP as required.
  • Coach/train technicians and local nationals on rotating equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Minimum requirements

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering
  • 4+ years oil & gas / petrochemical experience in rotating equipment maintenance/overhauls/troubleshooting, plus exposure to projects and commissioning/start-up.
  • Knowledge of gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, pumps, and auxiliaries; familiarity with engineering standards and SAP.
  • Strong English communication; competent with engineering software/tools.
