I'm working with a major project owner that's continuing to invest heavily in new mining, processing and energy infrastructure projects across WA. They're looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering team delivering major studies and capital projects across multiple assets.
The Role
This is a genuine design engineering role with involvement across concept studies, FEED and detailed design.
You'll be responsible for developing electrical designs for substations, switchrooms, HV and LV distribution systems, cabling, lighting, earthing and protection systems, while working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver practical and buildable outcomes.
The role offers exposure across the full project lifecycle, making it well suited to someone who enjoys seeing how projects evolve from initial concepts through to construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver concept, FEED and detailed electrical designs.
- Design HV and LV power distribution systems, substations and switchrooms.
- Prepare calculations, load lists, equipment datasheets and engineering deliverables.
- Manage vendor packages and review technical documentation.
- Support safety-in-design, HAZOP and design review processes.
- Work closely with designers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Support project delivery while ensuring scope, schedule and budget requirements are met.
- Degree qualified Electrical Engineer.
- Around 10+ years' experience within mining, resources, utilities or heavy industry.
- Strong background in electrical design, power distribution and industrial infrastructure.
- Experience across studies, FEED and detailed design phases.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Exposure to construction or commissioning would be beneficial but isn't essential.
