We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join a major infrastructure project in regional NSW, with the role based in Cooma and transitioning to FIFO site work on a 2:1 roster. This is an approx. 3-year project on a permanent basis offering a 10% uplift while based in Cooma and an additional 25% uplift once mobilised to site. The position will play a key role in the delivery of significant piping and water feed infrastructure, with a strong focus on strategic sourcing, supply chain management and commercial negotiations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities across three project sites
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies
- Source key materials and packages, including structural steel and piping
- Identify, assess and manage suppliers and subcontractors
- Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms
- Drive cost savings and procurement efficiencies
- Prepare, negotiate and manage procurement agreements and contracts
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Work closely with project and engineering teams to understand procurement requirements
- Manage procurement activities from initial sourcing and tendering through to negotiation and award
- Ensure materials and packages are procured in line with project requirements, timeframes and commercial objectives
- Strong experience in procurement, strategic sourcing and supply chain management
- Experience working across major infrastructure, construction, mining or energy projects
- Proven experience procuring piping, structural steel or major material packages
- Strong commercial negotiation and supplier management skills
- Experience preparing and negotiating procurement agreements
- A strong commercial mindset with a focus on cost savings and value
- The ability to manage multiple procurement requirements across complex projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously
