Title: Solids Control/Bead Recovery Technician
Location: Grande Prairie, AB 
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Ad hoc / call-out based (no fixed rotation)
Project Duration: Typically 5-10 days per project
Travel: Site locations are within ~2 hours of Grande Prairie

Position Overview: Our valued client is seeking Bead Recovery Technicians to support drilling operations through the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of Bead Recovery Unit (BRU) equipment. Training will be provided for candidates with relevant oilfield experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain BRU equipment on drilling locations
  • Rig up, monitor, troubleshoot, and rig down equipment
  • Complete daily reports and safety documentation using SiteDocs
  • Perform basic maintenance and repairs on related equipment
  • Work safely and independently in field environments
Qualifications:
  • H2S Alive, CSO, and Standard First Aid required
  • Previous drilling rig experience required; service rig, completions, solids control, drilling fluids, or waste management experience considered an asset
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic equipment maintenance
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working in remote field environments and camp/shack accommodations when required
  • Able to work day or night shifts and respond to short-notice call-outs
  • Comfortable completing daily reports and safety documentation using SiteDocs
  • Valid driver's licence required; pickup truck considered an asset

Schedule & Travel
  • Work is performed on an ad hoc/call-out basis with typical notice ranging from 1-3 days
  • Candidates generally remain on the same shift (days or nights) for the duration of a project
  • Projects typically run 5-10 days in length
  • Camp, shack, hotel, or field accommodations may be required depending on the project
Required Tools
  • Basic hand tool kit including wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, Allen keys, pliers, and channel locks
  • 4 lb hammer and pry bar
  • Wire brush
  • Utility knife and spare blades
  • Tape measure
  • Multimeter
