Sr Expert Commercial
 
Contract period: ASAP - one year duration
Location: Stavanger

Main tasks:
  • Define and optimize entire value chain from wellhead to customer, internal and/or external.
  • Identify, assess, present and implement optimization opportunities
  • Develop and implement capacity booking strategies and product sales strategies
  • Ensure the commercial operations administration, internal and external reporting, risk management and value tracking
  • Prepare and validate invoicing with the Finance department
  • Provide commercial input for medium and long term planning/forecasting
  • Hold Company main responsibility for resolving operational issues and preserving the value of daily sales
  • Uses industry network in Norway to find solutions and negotiate deals to resolve these operational issues
  • Hold overall responsibility for the gas dispatching contract and ensure the contract is benchmarked, updated and renewed, as required
  • Act as local integration interface with Company trading entities for specific tasks and activities
  • Provide quality commercial support to other Company departments
  • Negotiate and supervise agreements necessary to implement the above (including gas sales agreements and sales agency agreements)
  • Participate in license committees and all other relevant business fora as agreed with the Commercial Lead
  • Deliver presentations and participate in miscellaneous project reviews and analysis
  • Be instrumental in securing project deadlines and ensuring that schedules are being met
  • Develop and maintain a Norwegian business network covering all aspects of the job
  • Secure compliance with all relevant regulations (Norwegian state, Field and Infrastructure Operators as well as and Company’s internal regulations) 

Qualifications:
  • Education – University degree Bachelor within Engineer/ Business/ Economics
  • Relevant professional experience minimum 5 years
  • Good knowledge of and insight to the Norwegian upstream segment and gas transportation system
  • Experience from administration/operation of gas and/or oil sales
  • Robust capacity to manage specific IT interfaces with external providers and internal reporting tools
  • Ability to analyse complex projects that interface with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Comfortable in making independent sound business decisions on short notice with the ability to follow-up and implement
  • Negotiation skills in English (written & spoken)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent inter-personal, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to engage effectively with both internal & external stakeholders
  • Self-driven, positive and committed attitude, highly organised and resilient
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI)
