Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Subcontract Manager to support a large-scale industrial construction project in Huelva. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all subcontracting activities, from strategy development and sourcing to contract administration and close-out. This role requires close coordination with project management, construction disciplines, and subcontractors to ensure contractual compliance, cost control, and timely execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop subcontracting strategy in collaboration with the Project Manager
• Source, audit, and qualify construction subcontractors
• Coordinate with HSE, QA/QC, Scheduling, and Engineering to compile inquiry documentation
• Manage technical clarifications and updates during the bidding process
• Act as the primary point of contact for subcontractors on contractual matters
• Lead weekly meetings with site teams and subcontractors; manage minutes and follow-ups
• Track progress against BoQs and subcontractor reports; validate and record work completed
• Review and approve extra works, quantity variations, and claims
• Prepare and issue Change Orders and monthly cost forecasts
• Oversee monthly payment acceptance and ensure alignment with contractual scope
• Maintain contractual communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Support project team with contractual awareness and risk mitigation strategies
• Facilitate coordination with non-project disciplines (Finance, HR, Treasury)
• Assist in final contract close-out and documentation

Required Skills & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in subcontract or contract management within EPC projects
• Strong negotiation skills and pragmatic, proactive approach
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish is a plus
• Familiarity with construction cost tracking and change management processes
• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with international teams
