We are seeking an experienced Subcontract Manager to support a large-scale industrial construction project in Huelva. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all subcontracting activities, from strategy development and sourcing to contract administration and close-out. This role requires close coordination with project management, construction disciplines, and subcontractors to ensure contractual compliance, cost control, and timely execution.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Subcontract Manager to support a large-scale industrial construction project in Huelva. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all subcontracting activities, from strategy development and sourcing to contract administration and close-out. This role requires close coordination with project management, construction disciplines, and subcontractors to ensure contractual compliance, cost control, and timely execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop subcontracting strategy in collaboration with the Project Manager
- Source, audit, and qualify construction subcontractors
- Coordinate with HSE, QA/QC, Scheduling, and Engineering to compile inquiry documentation
- Manage technical clarifications and updates during the bidding process
- Act as the primary point of contact for subcontractors on contractual matters
- Lead weekly meetings with site teams and subcontractors; manage minutes and follow-ups
- Track progress against BoQs and subcontractor reports; validate and record work completed
- Review and approve extra works, quantity variations, and claims
- Prepare and issue Change Orders and monthly cost forecasts
- Oversee monthly payment acceptance and ensure alignment with contractual scope
- Maintain contractual communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Support project team with contractual awareness and risk mitigation strategies
- Facilitate coordination with non-project disciplines (Finance, HR, Treasury)
- Assist in final contract close-out and documentation
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in subcontract or contract management within EPC projects
- Strong negotiation skills and pragmatic, proactive approach
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish is a plus
- Familiarity with construction cost tracking and change management processes
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with international teams
