Supply Chain Associate I (Customer Support Specialist)

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Rate: 33-36/hr
Duration: Contract, 6-8+ months

About the Role We are seeking a candidtae to support order management and customer service operations for a leading manufacturing organization. This is a customer-facing role responsible for managing the end-to-end order fulfillment process, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring customers receive accurate and timely service.

This position follows a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of one mandatory in-office day per week and additional onsite days based on team requirements.


Key Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and/or export order fulfillment for assigned customer accounts.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer order-related inquiries and issues.
• Process customer orders, revisions, and fulfillment requests accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor inventory availability and coordinate product transportation and delivery.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, marketing, transportation, and other internal teams to resolve customer needs.
• Communicate shipment schedules, delivery updates, and order status information.
• Maintain and update order fulfillment data within ERP and related business systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancement projects.
• Analyze data and identify solutions to operational and customer service challenges.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer fulfillment, supply chain, logistics, order management, or a related field.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
• Experience working with manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or industrial environments preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of transportation management, inventory management, order processing, and e-commerce systems.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with business data.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and production operations.
