Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Technical Lifting Lead to provide technical leadership, assurance, and governance for lifting operations across major onshore and offshore projects. The role will support lifting safety initiatives, compliance management, contractor oversight, incident investigations, and the implementation of industry best practices to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Provide technical guidance on lifting operations, lifting plans, and lifting safety requirements.
✅ Review and enhance lifting procedures, standards, and best practices to improve operational efficiency and compliance.
✅ Conduct risk-based evaluations of complex lifting activities and support mitigation of technical and execution challenges.
✅ Manage assurance and compliance processes for lifting operations in line with international standards and company requirements.
✅ Support contractor selection, qualification, and performance assessments for lifting operations.
✅ Promote a proactive safety culture and champion lifting safety leadership initiatives.
✅ Participate in high-potential incident investigations, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and monitor close-out activities.
✅ Collaborate with project teams, contractors, certification authorities, and stakeholders to resolve lifting-related issues.
Requirements
✔ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science.
✔ Minimum 8 years of experience in large-scale construction, fabrication, installation, commissioning, or execution projects within the Oil & Gas industry.
✔ Experience in supervisory, oversight, or leadership roles related to lifting operations.
✔ Strong knowledge of international standards including API, ASME, DNV, ISO, BS, and LOLER.
✔ Expertise in lifting and rigging calculations, preferably in accordance with DNV standards.
✔ Experience in compliance management, assurance processes, and lifting governance frameworks.
✔ Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
✔ Fluent in spoken and written English.
