Contract period: 02.11.2026 - 01.11.2028
Location: Stavanger
Main tasks:
- Detailed design of telecom tasks.
- Participate in studies.
- Estimate telecom tasks.
- Prepare job packages and follow up on deliveries.
- Discipline check of design basis (studies, drawings, and job packages).
- Follow up with suppliers, package responsibility.
- Participate in pre-test/FAT at the supplier.
- Participate in inspections onshore/offshore.
- Able to take on training responsibilities for new engineers.
- Perform as-built.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecom/Instrumentation/Automation
- Alternatively, a Technical College degree with extensive experience in Engineering projects on the Norwegian Oil and Gas
- industry
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in offshore-related projects.
- Strong experience in engineering design.
- Good knowledge of standards such as ATEX, requirements, client systems and methodes.
- Extensive knowledge of modifications on operational offshore installations.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunication system, network infrastructure and fiber-optic technologies used in the oil industry.
- Proficiency in Norwegian, both spoken and written.
- Alternatively, strong English skills, both spoken and written
Required Certificates:
- EX – Basic EX Training (6–8 hours online or 22.5 hours classroom-based)
- FSE – High and Low Voltage Safety Training with First Aid
- AT / SJA – Work Permit and Safe Job Analysis
- Offshore Certificate and Medical Certificate
