Our client is actively seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Turnaround team out of their facility in Augusta, GA! This individual will be responsible for the planning, coordination, engineering support, execution, testing, commissioning, and start up of electrical power distribution systems. This position will provide technical leadership for medium and low-voltage electrical assets to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with turnaround schedule, budget, and reliability objectives. Position Summary
The Turnaround Electrical Engineer (Power Distribution) is responsible for the planning, coordination, engineering support, execution, testing, commissioning, and startup of electrical power distribution systems during the 2027 Turnaround. This position provides technical leadership for medium- and low-voltage electrical assets to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with turnaround schedule, budget, and reliability objectives. The engineer serves as the subject matter expert for power distribution systems and works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Planning, Construction, Projects, and contractor personnel. This position reports to the TAR Manager.

This position provides technical leadership for medium- and low-voltage electrical assets to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with turnaround schedule, budget, and reliability objectives. The engineer serves as the subject matter expert for power distribution systems and works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Planning, Construction, Projects, and contractor personnel. This position reports to the TAR Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Turnaround Planning & Scope Development: Develop turnaround work scopes, support scope optimization, readiness reviews, risk assessments, shutdown and startup strategies.
- Power Distribution Engineering: Provide technical expertise for MV/LV switchgear, MCCs, transformers, substations, relays, breakers, bus systems, emergency power, and grounding systems.
- Turnaround Execution: Provide field engineering support, monitor critical-path activities, resolve technical issues, coordinate contractors, and manage emergent work.
- Testing, Commissioning & Startup: Develop isolation plans, support testing, review commissioning results, support energization, and troubleshoot startup issues.
- Reliability & Continuous Improvement: Participate in root cause analyses, capture lessons learned, and improve reliability strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum five years of industrial electrical engineering experience with turnaround or outage support experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, large turnaround experience, project management experience, SAP and Primavera P6 experience.

- Technical Knowledge
- Power distribution systems, protective relaying, switchgear and transformer maintenance, arc flash analysis, electrical commissioning, NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and preventive/predictive maintenance practices.

- Working Conditions
- Primarily based at the Augusta facility with frequent field presence. Extended hours, weekends, holidays, and shift support may be required during turnaround execution phases.

- Successfully deliver all assigned electrical power distribution work for the 2027 Turnaround by ensuring safe execution, schedule attainment, equipment reliability, and a successful startup with no electrical-related delays.
