NES Fircroft are supporting our valued client, a global Oil & Gas operator who are looking for a Wells Engineering Technologist to join their Perth based team.
Summary
The client is looking for an experienced Well Engineering Technologist to join their Wells, Conventional Assets team based in Perth, Western Australia. The role will support ongoing planning, execution and analysis of drilling, completion and well lifecycle management activities onshore.

The client is looking for an experienced Well Engineering Technologist to join their Wells, Conventional Assets team based in Perth, Western Australia. The role will support ongoing planning, execution and analysis of drilling, completion and well lifecycle management activities onshore.
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
- Batchelor’s degree in Engineering or similar, preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in supporting oil and gas well engineering / operations.
- Proven competency in well engineering concepts, workflows, and processes.
- Strong fluency with well engineering deliverables, well design and operational procedures.
- Experience in well activity performance management would be an advantage.
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment is essential.
- Assigned as local Wells risk management focal point, promote a standardised approach to well activity and related project risk management.
- Assigned as local Standards and WellSafe focal point, tracking internal assessments, compliance and attending Standards program coordination meetings as required.
- Work closely with project well engineering teams to review and optimise local Standard Operating Procedures to drive efficiency.
- Interface with WellView data analysts, well engineering teams, business partners, and project teams to implement and track performance improvement initiatives.
- Assigned as focal point to plan, coordinate, and interface with international technical services resource teams.
- Occasional field visits to interface with operational teams, as required.
