NES Fircroft is partnering with a leading organisation within the mining and resources sector to recruit experienced Contracts and Procurement professionals to support a range of ongoing project and operational requirements.
We are interested in speaking with commercially minded professionals with experience across pre-award procurement, tendering and sourcing, through to post-award contract administration and end-to-end commercial management. Working closely with project teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in developing procurement strategies, managing contractual obligations and delivering strong commercial outcomes.
These are 12-month day-rate contract opportunities based in Brisbane, with a high likelihood of extension. Day rates will vary depending on experience and the scope of each role.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement and contract management activities.
- Develop sourcing strategies, tenderer lists and RFQ documentation.
- Lead tender processes, evaluate submissions and prepare commercial recommendations.
- Negotiate contractual terms, conditions and commercial agreements.
- Manage contract and purchase order awards.
- Oversee post-award contract administration, including variations, claims and performance management.
- Monitor supplier and contractor performance against contractual obligations.
- Identify and manage commercial risks, opportunities and contractual departures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support project teams with procurement planning, commercial advice and contract management.
- Experience in contracts, procurement, sourcing or commercial management.
- Exposure to both pre-award and post-award contract activities.
- Strong tendering, negotiation and contract administration skills.
- Experience managing supplier and subcontractor relationships.
- An understanding of commercial risk, contractual terms and procurement governance.
- The ability to work collaboratively with project teams and deliver commercial outcomes.
- Experience within mining, resources, infrastructure, energy or other project-based environments.
