Senior Project Engineer (Data Center Construction) 📍 San Antonio Area, Texas
We're seeking a Senior MEP Project Engineer to support the delivery of a large-scale data center construction project in the San Antonio area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly technical project team responsible for overseeing the construction process from preconstruction through commissioning and handover.
The ideal candidate will have a strong construction background with experience across CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) and/or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) scopes. Data center experience is preferred but candidates from commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, mission-critical, or other complex construction environments are encouraged to apply.

We're seeking a Senior MEP Project Engineer to support the delivery of a large-scale data center construction project in the San Antonio area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly technical project team responsible for overseeing the construction process from preconstruction through commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
- Coordinate project activities with contractors, design teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Support project scheduling, forecasting, budget tracking, and contractor billing reviews.
- Track procurement activities, long-lead materials, and OFCI/CFCI equipment.
- Support commissioning, startup, testing, and project closeout activities.
- Participate in QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Facilitate design reviews and construction coordination meetings.
- Support site safety initiatives and collaborate with project teams to drive successful project delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 3+ years of Project Engineer experience on construction projects; 5+ years preferred.
- Experience managing or supporting CSA and/or MEP construction scopes.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, procurement, and project controls.
- Experience with complex construction projects.
- Data center experience is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Knowledge of critical power and cooling infrastructure.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Experience working with contractors, consultants, and cross-functional project teams.
