We are working with our Global Oil and Gas Client, seeking An Organisational Change Management Advisor to join them on a 6-month contract. The Advisor will play a key role in providing change management support for assigned projects which introduce changes that impact our people - changes to business processes, positions and organization structures, and applications / systems – with a focus on maximizing employee adoption, minimizing resistance and increasing benefits realization and value for the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. Ensuring the welfare of personnel, the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
  • Support project managers and teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.
  • Provide direct support and coaching for managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through change transitions.
  • Responsible for managing, monitoring and delivering organisation change projects.
  • Consistent application of the companies Australia’s change management framework and templates for organisational and enterprise change projects to implement, transition and sustain the change.
  • Develop change management strategies and plans based on situational awareness of the details of the change, completion of change assessments and the insights into the groups being impacted by the change.
  • Identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns.
  • Work across the business on organisational change projects through developing a set of actionable and targeted change management plans – including communication plan, training plan and sustainment plan.
  • Interacts with all stakeholders in a way that demonstrates respect and gains the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity and authenticity.
  • Works in a cooperative and supportive manner within HR to help provide seamless effective, efficient, proactive, accurate and quality support to the organisation.
  • Works collaboratively with Corporate Affairs, Training, HR, technology and Continuous Improvement specialists in the formulation of particular change plans and activities to support project implementation.

Experience/Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in appropriate discipline (Business, Psychology or Human Resources) or equivalent industry experience
  • Education in Change Management discipline (e.g. PROSCI, PostGraduate Certificate in Change Management).
  • At least 4+ years in a similar role.
  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies, preferably PROSCI.
  • Understanding of project and change management approaches, disciplines, tools and phases of the project life-cycle.
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Problem-solving and root cause identification skills.
  • Analytic and decision-making abilities.
  • Team player and able to work with and through others.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Experience with large-scale organisational change effort.
  • Previous change management experience is a must
