Statutory Compliance Planner/Scheduler
Major Lithium Operation – WA (Bunbury Region)
Contract to Permanent | Flexible Work Options | Premium Opportunity

A rare opportunity exists for an experienced Statutory Compliance Planner to step into a pivotal role supporting a large‑scale, long‑life lithium mining operation in Western Australia.
This role is offered on an initial 12‑month contract, with a clear and genuine pathway to permanent employment for the right candidate. The business is prepared to wait for someone with the right experience, including those with lengthy notice periods.

The Opportunity
This position sits within a newly established Asset Integrity function, created to centralise and uplift statutory compliance that was previously managed across multiple operational areas.
Reporting to a Senior Asset Integrity Engineer, you will take ownership of the planning and scheduling of statutory inspections, preventative maintenance and rectification works arising from inspection findings, as well as selected unplanned and breakdown maintenance activities.
The foundations are in place. The focus of this role is on consistency, foresight and system maturity, rather than reactive firefighting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule statutory inspections across fixed plant and infrastructure, including:
    • Cranes and lifting equipment
    • Pressure vessels and safety valves
    • Heavy lifts and specialised contractor activities
  • Manage follow‑up repairs and corrective actions arising from inspection outcomes
  • Develop, optimise and maintain SAP maintenance plans, task lists, BOMs and master data
  • Ensure statutory work orders are issued prior to contractor mobilisation
  • Coordinate planning activities with a tight, experienced contractor panel
  • Support unplanned and breakdown maintenance planning as required
  • Improve alignment between SAP, asset registers and compliance databases
  • Contribute to consistent, site‑wide statutory compliance planning standards

The Environment
  • Part of a small, technically strong Asset Integrity team
  • Strong engineering, inspection and quality capability supporting the role
  • Mature, preventative maintenance mindset
  • 4:3 roster, 10‑hour days
  • DIDO options from the Bunbury / Australind region (approx. 60‑minute radius)
  • Camp accommodation available for site days
  • Flexibility to work from site, Bunbury office, Perth office or WFH, depending on work scope, ad-hoc.

About You
This role is suited to an experienced statutory compliance planner who understands what “good” looks like in complex industrial environments and enjoys building planning systems that work.
  • Extensive experience in statutory compliance planning
  • Background in mining, resources, power generation or heavy industry
  • Strong SAP maintenance planning capability
  • Proven ability to build, refine and improve planning systems and processes
  • Confident working autonomously with delegated authority
  • Strong organisational skills, foresight and attention to detail
A trade or engineering background is welcomed, though judgement and experience are valued over formal qualifications.
This opportunity would particularly suit someone seeking stability, technical depth and long‑term impact.

Why This Role?
  • Genuine contract‑to‑permanent opportunity
  • Competitive, flexible remuneration aligned to experience
  • Long‑term role in a well‑funded operation with expanding asset base
  • Statutory compliance treated as a core operational obligation, independent of commodity cycles
  • Opportunity to shape systems and processes as the operation continues to grow
