Civil and Structural Engineer (Contract 1 year)

Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for oversight of Civil & Structural Engineering and Construction works including: Building works, Coating works, Painting and insulation works, Refractory works, and Fireproofing works.
• Provide technical support for design modification and site troubleshooting.
• Review Material Approvals, Site Technical Queries, and Field Instruction documents proposed by contractors
• Acquire AE certificate for permit-to-work approval.
• Review and approve Method Statements and JSEA (Job Safety & Environmental Analysis) for Civil & Structural works, including Lifting works, Hot works, Excavation works, Confined space works in YF & BF areas.
• Co-interview contractor candidates for: Bearers, Applicants, and Competent Digging Persons related to Civil Works in BF & YF areas.
• Monitor site reports and detect non-compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, approved materials, and approved method statements for Civil & Structural works including building works.
• Provide expert recommendations and notify concerns to Owner team, EPCm team, and Contractors to ensure work proceeds effectively and quality requirements are met.
• Expedite construction progress according to subsystem priorities and project schedule.
• Monitor and expedite ITR-A and ITR-B completion, Quality Observation Report close-out, Punch list close-out completion, MC walkdown participation, and MCQP completion
• Review red-line markup submissions.
• Perform other assignments delegated by the Project/Construction Manager.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in Civil, Structural, and Building Engineering and Construction.
• Familiar with international standards and codes, DEP, and TOSS related to Civil & Structural works.
• Strong knowledge of construction work, especially in petrochemical construction projects.
• Good communication skills in both English and Thai.
• Capable of site inspections in confined spaces and work at height conditions
• Able to work full-time at Sriracha, Chonburi province
