In this role, you will provide cost and change management support across a portfolio of brownfield projects, ensuring successful delivery within approved budgets from project initiation through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Project Managers and the Project Controls Lead with planning and execution activities.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow estimates, contingencies, and cost risks.
  • Monitor project expenditure and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc cost reports and forecasts.
  • Assess and manage project changes, variations, and third-party claims.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project teams to maintain accurate cost information.
  • Identify cost risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain cost risk registers and support project lessons learned.
  • Ensure compliance with project controls procedures, systems, and governance requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, systems, and reporting tools.
  • Utilise SAP and Excel for project accounting and cost control activities.
About You
  • Experience as a Cost Controller within mining, chemical, mineral processing, or similar heavy industry projects.
  • Essential experience using SAP.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency across Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Power BI and data visualisation is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
