Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise electrical installation and commissioning activities related to offshore systems, including HV/LV equipment, power cables, communication systems, and control systems.
  • Act as a link between offshore teams, contractors, subcontractors, project management, and engineering teams.
  • Monitor project progress, quality performance, safety compliance, and potential risks.
  • Participate in and oversee commissioning activities, including FAT, SAT, SIT, and final testing before handover to operations.
  • Review contractor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), test procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Supervise installation, termination, testing, and commissioning of HV, LV, and communication cables.
  • Coordinate interfaces between multiple contractors working offshore.
  • Support electrical safety processes, including Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO), energisation procedures, and HV/LV authorised activities.
  • Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Report progress, technical issues, non-conformities, and mitigation actions to the Electrical Installation & Commissioning Management team.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with QHSE requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in electrical installation, testing, and commissioning of complex systems.
  • Practical experience with High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems.
  • Experience working on offshore, energy, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of commissioning processes, including FAT, SAT, SIT, and system handover activities.
  • Experience supervising contractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, drawings, procedures, and test reports.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Fluent English skills.
  • Willingness to work offshore on a rotational basis.
Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience in offshore wind projects.
  • Experience with offshore substations (OSS), wind turbines, export cables, or array cable installation.
  • Knowledge of SCADA, communication systems, and control systems.
  • HV Authorised Person (HV AP) / LV Authorised Person (LV AP) certification.
  • GWO certifications:
    • Basic Safety Training (BST)
    • Enhanced First Aid
    • Control of Hazardous Energies
    • High Voltage Standard
  • Experience working with offshore installation contractors and marine operations.
