The Gas Turbine Control Software Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of control software for Gas turbines. This role requires a deep understanding of control systems, software engineering, and Gas turbine operations. Gas Turbine Control software have a strong background in control theory, software development, and experience with industrial automation systems.
3. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control software for Gas turbine systems.
- Review customer specification and determine project deliverables, identify potential risks.
- Convert SAMA logic diagrams, P&ID drawings, and process narratives into corresponding Distributed Control System (DCS) control logic blocks and operator HMI screens.
- Implement control algorithms and logic to optimize turbine performance and efficiency.
- Support Design Review meetings with customer and Project Manager
- Conduct software testing and validation to ensure reliability and safety.
- Perform factory acceptance test of control system using closed loop simulation and present to customer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in the commissioning and startup of Gas turbine systems.
- Provide technical support and training to customers and field service engineers.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in control systems and software engineering
