We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join the team in regional NSW.
This is a site-based opportunity suited to a proactive HSE professional who enjoys being visible in the field, working closely with operational teams and contractors, and driving strong safety and environmental standards across a busy mining operation.
You will play a key role in supporting the site leadership and workforce to ensure HSE requirements are understood, implemented and consistently maintained.

You will play a key role in supporting the site leadership and workforce to ensure HSE requirements are understood, implemented and consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HSE support and advice to site management, supervisors, employees and contractors.
- Conduct regular field inspections, workplace observations, audits and compliance checks.
- Identify hazards, assess risks and support the implementation of effective control measures.
- Assist with incident and near-miss investigations, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor and support compliance with site HSE procedures, legislation, standards and company requirements.
- Provide practical HSE advice to operational teams and assist with improving safety performance.
- Support risk assessments, JHAs/JSEAs, SWMS and other critical risk management processes.
- Participate in toolbox meetings, pre-starts, safety meetings and HSE initiatives.
- Assist with contractor management and ensure contractors meet site HSE requirements.
- Track and follow up corrective actions arising from inspections, audits and incidents.
- Assist with emergency response preparedness and site emergency exercises.
- Support safety campaigns, training, inductions and workforce engagement initiatives.
- Promote a strong safety culture through visible field leadership and positive engagement with the workforce.
- Maintain accurate HSE records, reporting and documentation.
- Provide regular HSE performance information and reporting to site leadership.
- Previous experience working as an HSE Advisor within mining, resources, heavy industry or a similar high-risk environment.
- Relevant qualifications in Work Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and mining industry safety requirements.
- Proven experience conducting workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees, supervisors, contractors and management.
- A practical, hands-on approach to HSE, with the confidence to challenge unsafe practices when required.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a site-based environment.
- Experience working within a structured HSE management system.
- A genuine commitment to improving safety performance and workforce engagement.
