Repair Engineer - Gas Turbine 

About the Role We are seeking a motivated and quality-focused Repair Engineer to support our Greenville Service Center. This role is responsible for ensuring repair processes meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance while driving continuous improvement initiatives across gas turbine repair operations. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges, improve repair processes, and support the delivery of world-class service solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage repair qualifications for the Greenville Service Center, ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve Repair Non-Conformance Notifications (NCNs) in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide day-to-day support for the service center's Built in Quality (BIQ) initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Engineering Design, Supply Chain, Advanced Manufacturing, and Repair Technology.
  • Develop and recommend updates to Repair Engineering Instructions (REIs) for gas turbine components.
  • Support Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and engineering processes.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to identify and resolve quality and process-related issues.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, Computer Science, or a related discipline) from an accredited university.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, execution, and process discipline.
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience or project-based exposure to gas turbine design, repair, manufacturing, or service operations.
  • Relevant internship, co-op, or academic experience supporting gas turbine technologies.
  • Knowledge of process development activities such as:
    • Fixture development
    • Machining (Mills, EDMs)
    • Laser technologies (cladding and ablation)
    • Joining and brazing processes
    • Coatings and inspection technologies
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing mindset.
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and comfortable challenging conventional thinking to drive results.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers in an inclusive team environment.
