Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor / Working Foreman to lead maintenance activities in an industrial environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can effectively balance supervisory responsibilities with troubleshooting and mechanical repair work. The successful candidate will have strong industrial maintenance experience, proven leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate maintenance activities while ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct mechanical maintenance technicians and contractors.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance and construction-related activities.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of industrial mechanical equipment.
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and equipment records.
- Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
- Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and leadership to maintenance personnel.
- Coordinate with operations and other departments to minimize equipment downtime and support production goals.
- Industrial Millwright Certification (NCCER or equivalent).
- Experience working with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Strong background in maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Experience with industrial mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of construction-related activities in an industrial setting.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment while leading a maintenance team.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
- Experience serving as a working foreman or lead technician.
- Proven ability to independently prioritize tasks and drive maintenance initiatives.
- Experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing, refinery, chemical plant, or similar environments.
