Product Owner – Permanent – Knutsford

Hybrid – 3 days on site, 2 days remote

Required - A good 5 years’ experience as a Product Owner, strong with regards to building roadmaps & putting processes in place.  Looking for somebody that has a strong personality & can challenge when required but also bring the best out of people.  Know the DevOps processes & work with the DevOps team. Industry background is not essential, but a good software background with cloud, SaaS, infrastructure, or data protection would be a bonus.

Product Owner Job Overview:

Looking for a Product Owner to help shape, prioritise & deliver my client’s compliance platforms.   This is a hands-on role that owns product direction at the delivery level. You will translate customer, commercial & operational needs into clear, deliverable outcomes, working closely with engineering & senior stakeholders.

Product Owner Key Responsibilities:
Skills & Experience Essential
 
  • Own, manage & prioritise the product backlog. 
  • Translate customer, commercial & operational requirements into clear user stories & acceptance criteria. 
  • Work closely with engineering to guide delivery & resolve questions & priorities. 
  • Balance new features with technical debt, compliance requirements & operational improvements. 
  • Act as the day-to-day product decision-maker throughout delivery. 
  • Collaborate with commercial, operational & senior stakeholders to align priorities. 
  • Ensure delivered changes create measurable customer & commercial value. 
  • Support product launches & go-to-market activity. 
 
Classification: Commercial In Confidence   
 
  • Maintain a clear connection between product strategy, roadmap priorities & engineering delivery. 

Product Owner Desirable
 
  • Strong experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product-delivery role. 
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments. 
  • Proven ability to own & prioritise a product backlog. 
    • Ability to translate complex technical & business requirements into clear deliverables. 
    • Strong stakeholder-management & communication skills. 
    • Commercial awareness & a focus on customer outcomes. 
    • Experience working closely with engineering & operational teams. 
  • Experience in cloud, SaaS, infrastructure, or data protection would be beneficial
