Project Engineer - Civil Tailing | Gladstone | 12 month contract with strong extension potential
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to lead the planning and execution of annual wall raise programs for major civil tailing and residue management earthworks.
Based in Gladstone, this 12-month contract role offers the chance to drive critical infrastructure projects supporting large-scale alumina refinery operations. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage project schedules and budgets, and ensure strong safety, quality, and compliance standards are met throughout all phases of construction.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, with a minimum of 8 years’ experience delivering complex civil, mining, or heavy industrial earthworks projects.

- Proven expertise in project controls, construction management, cost forecasting, and risk mitigation is essential.
- Strong leadership skills and effective stakeholder engagement, combined with experience in self-perform or owner-operated delivery models.
- A current driver’s license and readiness to work Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends, are required.
