Position Summary
Our client is seeking a full-time Project Engineer, Automation to support development and implementation of control systems for the Clearwater Project in Alberta, working with automation and process teams based in Calgary.
This role contributes to control system design, configuration, and commissioning across lithium processing, water treatment, utilities, and packaging systems.

Responsibilities
- Assist in developing control system architectures, control narratives, and I/O lists for gathering system and central processing facility equipment.
- Support configuration and testing of DCS/PLC/SCADA systems and HMIs.
- Coordinate with process and electrical engineers to define instrumentation and control requirements.
- Support FAT/SAT, loop checks, and commissioning for automation systems.
- Assist in resolving control and instrumentation issues during construction and start-up.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial automation or control system design.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA in good standing.
- Experience with major control system platforms and industrial communication protocols for water treatment, chemical, or oil & gas facilities.
- Experience with configuration and commissioning of major DCS/PLC platforms.
- Familiarity with process safety, safety instrumented systems, and functional safety standards.
