Project Geologist | RC & Diamond Drilling Program | Queensland

An exciting opportunity is available for a Project Geologist to join a growing exploration team on a significant drilling program in Queensland.

This upcoming program will focus on validating historical datasets through a series of duplicate drill holes across an existing mining project, supporting a major asset consolidation and future development plans. 

The Opportunity
Working as part of a small, hands-on team, you will play a key role in the planning and execution of a 2-3 month RC and diamond drilling program. This position is ideal for a geologist with at least 3 years of industry experience who enjoys balancing field leadership responsibilities with core geological duties.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting with the day-to-day management and execution of the drilling program
  • RC and diamond core logging
  • Sampling and QA/QC activities
  • Drill contractor liaison
  • Data collection and program reporting
  • Supporting safe and efficient field operations
About You
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in exploration or mine geology
  • Strong RC and diamond drilling experience
  • Proven logging, sampling and geological data management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote field environment
  • Strong communication and organisation
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach
