NES Fircroft are supporting our valued client who are recruting a SPS Engineer on a 12-month contract based in their Perth office, with adhoc travel.

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled SPS Engineer to join our Perth team and take ownership of the lifecycle management of critical Company Items within complex projects. This is your chance to work closely with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery, installation, and commissioning of subsea equipment—making a tangible impact on innovative offshore operations.
As an SPS Engineer, you will be at the heart of project execution, driving readiness on site (ROS) of equipment, supporting mechanical completion, and ensuring the flawless handover of assets from fabrication to operations. You’ll coordinate logistics, champion safety culture, and manage risk with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset. Required Skills:
- Solid understanding of subsea production system equipment, including engineering, manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning processes.
- Experience managing delivery logistics, materials tracking, and supply chain coordination related to subsea projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with SAP or other ERP platforms.
- Strong knowledge of project quality assurance and mechanical completion requirements.
- Proven ability to manage contractor relationships and ensure compliance with QHSE standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, able to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to upholding a high safety culture in all aspects of work.
- Previous experience supporting fabrication yards and EPC contractors in subsea or offshore energy projects.
- Familiarity with mechanical completion processes and technical bid evaluations.
- Background in risk and uncertainty management within project environments.
- Mentorship experience or a demonstrated passion for knowledge sharing and team development.
- Bachelor of Engineering in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the subsea energy sector.
- Alternatively, secondary school qualifications with at least 5 years’ relevant subsea engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with SURF (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines) or SPS (Subsea Production Systems) manufacturing and engineering processes is highly desirable.
- Based in Perth with the ability to undertake occasional travel to vendor sites, fabrication yards, and company facilities.
- Willingness to actively participate in HSE risk assessments and site-based support during high-risk activities.
- Commitment to comply with all company health, safety, and environmental policies.
