About the Opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Installation Aids Lead Engineer to join a major offshore subsea project.
This position offers the opportunity to play a key technical leadership role within a multidisciplinary engineering team, supporting the design, analysis, and delivery of complex subsea structures for a high-profile development project.
As the focal point for the structural discipline, you will be responsible for leading structural engineering activities, coordinating with other technical disciplines, and ensuring the successful delivery of project objectives related to subsea structural design and installation aids.

About the Opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Installation Aids Lead Engineer to join a major offshore subsea project.
This position offers the opportunity to play a key technical leadership role within a multidisciplinary engineering team, supporting the design, analysis, and delivery of complex subsea structures for a high-profile development project.
As the focal point for the structural discipline, you will be responsible for leading structural engineering activities, coordinating with other technical disciplines, and ensuring the successful delivery of project objectives related to subsea structural design and installation aids.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the discipline focal point for all structural engineering activities on subsea projects.
- Lead and coordinate structural engineering studies related to offshore subsea structures.
- Interface with multidisciplinary teams including:
- Installation Engineering
- Geotechnical Engineering
- Materials Engineering
- Flowlines & Pipelines
- Marine Operations
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the structural engineering team.
- Review and validate engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and technical deliverables.
- Support project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and progress monitoring.
- Ensure delivery of engineering documentation in accordance with project deadlines and quality requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and client technical meetings.
- Contribute to engineering solutions supporting installation and transportation phases of subsea structures.
- Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Offshore Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore subsea structural engineering.
- FLETs (Flowline End Terminations)
- Manifolds
- Suction Piles
- Large Mudmats
- Other offshore subsea structural components
- API 2A WSD
- AISC 9th Edition
- DNV-ST-N001 for marine operations and lifting assessments
- ABAQUS (2D Shell and 3D Solid/Volumetric Modelling)
- SACS
- Advanced hand calculations and structural assessments
- English: Mandatory
- French: Strongly preferred
- Based in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, France
- On-site presence required at least three days per week
- Potential involvement in occasional offshore or onshore missions depending on project requirements.
