1. PURPOSE
The services described in this document form part of Offshore Survey studies. The CONTRACTOR is seeking a Survey Engineer to perform the services outlined in this specification.
2. PROFILE
The Survey Engineer (or Survey Technician) is a specialist in survey and positioning activities. The role is responsible for the installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of survey and positioning equipment used during offshore wind farm installation projects, including RTK GNSS systems and large-structure monitoring equipment. The role is offshore-based with regular rotations and requires GWO certification before deployment. Key responsibilities include planning and maintaining survey systems, diagnosing and repairing equipment, vessel mobilization and demobilization, quality control of survey data, calibration management, maintaining equipment inventories, supporting Project Surveyors, conducting land surveys using Total Station and GNSS equipment, and liaising with vessel crews and third-party suppliers.
3. SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED
Services will be carried out autonomously under the responsibility of the manager responsible for BIDS execution and in coordination with other disciplines. The scope of services is non-exhaustive and covers survey engineering, positioning systems, quality control, and offshore operational support.
4. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Proficiency in SC4W software.
• BOSIET (OPITO) + CAEBS certification.
• GWO (Global Wind Organisation) certification/training.
• Medical Fitness Certificate.
