Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Transportation & Installation Lead (Pre-Commissioning & De-Commissioning) to lead and supervise offshore pipeline pre-commissioning and de-commissioning activities for greenfield and brownfield projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of pipeline pre-commissioning and decommissioning scopes, from engineering and planning through offshore execution and project closeout. This includes flooding, cleaning, gauging, hydrotesting, dewatering, nitrogen purging, pipeline isolation, subsea cutting, spool removal, abandonment, and recovery operations.
The role requires offshore leadership onboard installation vessels and close coordination with Operations, Marine, Diving, ROV, HSE, and Contractor teams to ensure safe and efficient execution.

Pre-Commissioning Activities
Education
✅ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Subsea Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
Experience
✅ Minimum 8 years of offshore Transport & Installation experience on installation vessels.
✅ Minimum 5 years as Field Engineer or Site Supervisor supporting offshore installation and decommissioning activities.

Pre-Commissioning Activities
- Lead offshore pipeline pre-commissioning activities including:
- Flooding
- Cleaning
- Gauging
- Hydrostatic Testing
- Inline Inspection
- Dewatering
- Drying
- Nitrogen Purging
- Review and approve contractor execution methodologies, philosophies, and procedures.
- Verify hydrotest calculations, pigging configurations, flow rates, drying criteria, compressor capacities, and temporary equipment requirements.
- Lead offshore de-commissioning of live and inactive subsea pipelines.
- Chair risk screenings and formal risk assessments.
- Obtain required stakeholder approvals.
- Manage activities including:
- Pipeline Isolation
- Depressurization
- Flushing & Cleaning
- Subsea Pipeline Cutting
- Pipeline Recovery
- Abandonment In Place
- Grouting & Capping
- Spool Removal
- Subsea Tie-In Disconnections
- Ensure safe subsea isolation using technical plugs and decommissioning tools.
- Monitor marine vessel mobilization and offshore execution.
- Coordinate with Operations, VMT, Diving, ROV, Marine and HSE teams.
- Manage technical queries, punch lists, non-conformances and change requests.
- Support offshore teams with troubleshooting and recovery plans.
- Ensure compliance with SIMOPS, HSE, environmental and marine requirements.
Education
