Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Shift: Monday – Friday, 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM
Job Type: Full-Time (Contract, with potential for extension or permanent hire)
Rate: $28-20/hr

Overview We are seeking a skilled Assembly Repair Technician to support the repair and maintenance of industrial valve components. This role involves hands-on work including disassembly, inspection, machining, repair, reassembly, and testing of mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, assembly, and testing of industrial components
  • Conduct dimensional and visual inspections to ensure quality standards
  • Operate manual machining equipment such as:
    • Radial drills
    • Lathes
    • Horizontal and vertical boring mills
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Set up and adjust machinery to meet repair and production requirements
  • Use cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to move parts
  • Follow established safety and quality procedures
  • Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety practices
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3 years of machining and mechanical experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and perform shop math
  • Experience with basic measurement tools and metrology
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to obtain forklift and crane certifications
  • Ability to wear a respirator and pass required safety testing
  • Must pass vision and hearing exams
  • Career Readiness Certificate (Silver level or equivalent) preferred
Schedule & Work Conditions
  • 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
  • Overtime eligibility available
