Reports to: Security Manager, Algeria
1. Job Accountability: Under the direction of the Country Security Manager provide operational support to ’s business activities.
2. Position Responsibilities:
- To work as part of the Support team performing rotational duties with a back-to-back covering the position.
- Currently the rotations are 3 weeks (21 days on / 21 days off).
- The role may occasionally require travel outside of Algiers.
- The role may occasionally require driving vehicles.
Main tasks
- Provide direct support to the Country Security Manager (CSM) and act on behalf of the CSM when required
- Provide management support including; discipline, welfare, mentoring, and guidance to ensure security delivery to the office and business activities
- Manage the security support business group and visitors
- Manage the security support to personnel when outside Algiers
- Manage the Operations Room team and provide assistance and guidance when necessary
- Manage the third-party contractor Guard Force in daily operational delivery, and liaise with the contract holder management
- Assist the management of the Driving Team including liaising with employment agency representatives
- Maintain a high level of security awareness through news feeds and reports
- Compile routine and irregular reports and returns to the CSM
- Maintain data on security delivery to demonstrate levels of service· Assist with security audits particularly of Out of Area (OOA)
- Assist with the delivery of training for the security team
- Manage the maintenance of security kit and equipment, such as - but not limited to: Vehicle fleet (mechanical maintenance, serviceability, cleanliness, documentation)· Emergency readiness equipment (earthquake boxes of recovery equipment) Medical support kits & Comms kit (sat phones, IT, mobile phones etc)
- Manage the Access Control system at the office including the creation and issuing of badges
- Manage the security support for occasional special events
- Maintain full legal compliance of the delivery of the security function
3. Discipline:
- Follow direction from the Country Security Manager
- When directed by the Country Security Manager follow direction from other person(s).
- Be polite and courteous at all times
- Keep the Country Security Manager updated of: Medical status if sick so return to work can be planned Provide signed and dated Doctors notes & death certificates when requested
4. Required knowledge, experience, skills and competencies:·
- English - essential
- French – fluent essential
- Arabic – Spoken
- Education – degree level education not formally required, but is preferred.
- Candidate must have relevant formal qualification(s) in security, asset protection, personnel safety or similar.
- Previous working experience in a similar field of expertise
- Military, Gendarme or Police background preferred
- No criminal record
- Clean driving licence
