Bulk Engineer (Project Controls / Materials Data)

Location: Rotterdam (Hybrid)

About the Role Our client a global leader in offshore energy infrastructurea leading are looking for a data-driven Bulk Engineer to support the management, analysis, and reporting of project material data across large-scale EPC projects.

This is not a traditional design engineering role. Instead, you will sit at the intersection of Engineering, Procurement, and Project Controls, ensuring that material quantities, data, and reporting align with project requirements as designs evolve.

You will play a key role in maintaining data integrity, supporting procurement activities, and delivering accurate reporting to drive project performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and validate engineering material data in line with project schedules
  • Coordinate with Engineering teams to obtain and verify bulk/material quantities
  • Monitor and track changes in quantities as designs develop
  • Process and manage data within MRP/ERP systems (e.g. Nadia, ERM, SAP)
  • Generate and maintain reports using Excel and Power BI
  • Support procurement by issuing accurate material data to fabrication yards
  • Produce weekly material and project performance reports
  • Contribute to forecasting and project cost/control activities
  • Ensure data consistency across multiple systems and stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Cost Engineering, or similar
  • ~3–7 years’ experience in:
    • Project Controls / Cost Engineering
    • Materials / Material Control
    • Procurement / Supply Chain (within EPC projects)
  • Experience working on EPC projects (Oil & Gas, Offshore, Energy, Renewables)
  • Strong data handling and analytical skills
Technical Skills
  • Advanced MS Excel (essential)
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Nadia, ERM)
  • Power BI for reporting and data visualisation (preferred)
  • Knowledge of databases (Access, SQL, VBA) is advantageous
