Civil Project Manager
Location: Cairns-Darwin | Contract: 12 months
A Civil Project Manager, with 5-7 years experience to deliver in civil engineering capital works projects in a remote mining environment, managing maintenance and upgrade works end‑to‑end. The role ensures safe, compliant delivery to scope, schedule, budget and quality, while working closely with site stakeholders and contractors.

A Civil Project Manager, with 5-7 years experience to deliver in civil engineering capital works projects in a remote mining environment, managing maintenance and upgrade works end‑to‑end. The role ensures safe, compliant delivery to scope, schedule, budget and quality, while working closely with site stakeholders and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver civil and mechanical capital projects ($2M–$20M) from concept through to commissioning and close‑out
- Manage schedules, budgets, forecasts and risk in line with site governance and engineering standards
- Lead design management with internal teams and external consultants
- Oversee specialist infrastructure projects (HDPE pipelines, dewatering systems, tailings assets – desirable)
- Lead procurement, contractor management, cost control and contract administration
- Champion safety, environmental compliance and quality outcomes
- Engage with operations, maintenance, HSE and leadership to ensure smooth asset handover
About You
- 5–7 years’ project management experience in civil/mechanical or heavy infrastructure
- Mining or resources experience, ideally in remote or FIFO environments
- Strong contractor, cost and schedule management skills
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or related)
- PMP/PRINCE2 desirable
- Safety‑focused, delivery‑driven and comfortable working autonomously
