Clinical Research Associate - Driving Global Clinical Excellence in Japan

Join a leading global organization at the forefront of medical science as a Clinical Research Associate II. In this dynamic role based in Tokyo with hybrid/remote options, you will play a vital part in managing clinical operations for cutting-edge global clinical trials across a variety of therapeutic areas. As the key liaison between clinical sites and project teams, you will ensure the highest standards of patient safety, data quality, and regulatory compliance, bringing life-changing treatments closer to those who need them most.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 2 years of independent on-site monitoring experience in Japan, including all types of monitoring visits within Phase II and/or III studies
  • Full working proficiency in both English and Japanese
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, plan effectively, and collaborate within a dynamic team environment
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 30-40%
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in feasibility assessments and study start-up activities
  • Background in therapeutic areas such as Multiple Sclerosis, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Oncology, or Infectious Diseases
  • Knowledge of site budgets, contract negotiations, and regulatory document preparation
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing (RN), or a related scientific field
  • Proven track record of managing full-service clinical projects in Japan with a focus on quality and compliance
