Are you experienced in coal quality, blending, production planning or technical services and looking for your next opportunity within a large-scale mining operation?

We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Coal Quality & Logistics Engineer to join a high-performing operation in the Central Queensland region. This position plays a critical role in managing coal quality performance and coordinating end-to-end supply chain activities to ensure products consistently meet customer specifications while maximising operational value. Working closely with mining operations, CHPP, logistics and commercial teams, this role offers strong exposure across both technical and operational functions.

The Opportunity In this role, you will:
  • Develop and implement coal blending strategies to optimise product quality and minimise risk
  • Manage coal quality compliance against customer and export specifications
  • Coordinate coal movement through ROM, CHPP, stockpiles and train load-out activities
  • Support production scheduling, logistics planning and stockpile management
  • Monitor quality performance, forecasting and reconciliation activities
  • Deliver reporting and KPI tracking across operational performance metrics
  • Build strong relationships with operations, technical teams and contractors
  • Identify process improvements and opportunities to enhance quality and operational outcomes
  • Maintain strong safety standards and support risk management initiatives
About You To be successful, you will ideally bring:
  • Experience in coal quality management, blending or reconciliation
  • Exposure to coal mining production or technical services environments
  • Experience working with CHPP operations and/or train load-out activities
  • Understanding of coal logistics, stockpile management and supply chain processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Experience managing or coordinating contractor activities
  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Process Engineering, Geology or similar discipline
  • Standard 11 (or ability to obtain) and current Driver's Licence
