Position Summary
The Coil Tubing Cementing Specialist is responsible for planning, preparing, and executing cement placement operations using Coil Tubing (CT) and bull heading techniques during well intervention, workover, abandonment, and remediation activities. The specialist provides technical expertise in slurry design, displacement calculations, pumping operations, pressure monitoring, and operational troubleshooting while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
The role works closely with the Coil Tubing Supervisor, Pumping Supervisor, Cementing Engineer, Wellsite Supervisor, and customer representatives to ensure successful execution of remedial cementing programs. Key Responsibilities

Position Summary
The Coil Tubing Cementing Specialist is responsible for planning, preparing, and executing cement placement operations using Coil Tubing (CT) and bull heading techniques during well intervention, workover, abandonment, and remediation activities. The specialist provides technical expertise in slurry design, displacement calculations, pumping operations, pressure monitoring, and operational troubleshooting while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
The role works closely with the Coil Tubing Supervisor, Pumping Supervisor, Cementing Engineer, Wellsite Supervisor, and customer representatives to ensure successful execution of remedial cementing programs. Key Responsibilities
Pre-Job Engineering & Planning
- Review well intervention and cementing programs.
- Verify well conditions, barriers, and operational objectives.
- Evaluate suitability of CT cement placement versus bullheading methods.
- Prepare pumping schedules and displacement calculations.
- Calculate:
- Cement volumes
- Spacer volumes
- Flush volumes
- Displacement volumes
- Contingency volumes
- Participate in risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Develop contingency plans for losses, plugging, or pressure anomalies.
Inspect, prepare, and verify readiness of:
- Cementing pumps
- Mixing systems
- Batch mixers
- Density monitoring equipment
- CT pumping equipment
- High-pressure lines
- Manifolds
- Check valves
- Pressure gauges
- Cement heads (where applicable)
- Bulk handling systems
- Comply with company and customer HSE policies.
- Participate in JSA and pre-job safety meetings.
- Verify pressure control barriers before pumping.
- Ensure safe handling of cement additives and chemicals.
- Maintain well integrity throughout operations.
- Stop operations if unsafe conditions arise.
- Report hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Coil Tubing cementing, remedial cementing, or well intervention.
- Proven experience in:
- Cement squeeze operations
- Cement placement via Coil Tubing
- Bullheading cement jobs
- Well integrity remediation
- Ability to perform cement volume and displacement calculations.
- Strong understanding of cement slurry properties and pumping hydraulics.
- Fluent in English for operational communication and reporting.
