Primary Responsibilities:
The Completions Technician supports all Completions and Smart Completions activities from Construction Turnover through Operations Handover. This role progresses from preservation‑focused responsibilities into full project Completions support as the project advances toward Startup.
Key Responsibilities Phase 1 – Construction Turnover

The Completions Technician supports all Completions and Smart Completions activities from Construction Turnover through Operations Handover. This role progresses from preservation‑focused responsibilities into full project Completions support as the project advances toward Startup.
Key Responsibilities Phase 1 – Construction Turnover
- Maintain and update preservation records in Smart Completions.
- Process updates based on Material Receiving Reports (MRRs), Preservation Matrix changes, and Contractor Technical Query outcomes.
- Participate in meetings and ad‑hoc discussions with Preservation Contractors and the Construction Preservation Team.
- Support monthly CSU audits by reviewing uploaded check sheets.
- Liaise with project engineering teams regarding preservation requirements.
- Transition into full support of the Completions Team.
- Support ITR and Punch List management:
- Add/import punch items and maintain the master Punch List.
- Assign ITRs to assets and upload completed ITRs.
- Add/import punch items and maintain the master Punch List.
- Perform Smart Completions data entry (preservation, asset data).
- Issue procedures, work instructions, and related documents through Document Control and OpenText.
- Support system handover readiness, including comments resolution and preparation for commissioning/energization.
- Assist with project reporting and progress monitoring.
- Conduct documentation audits and manage Smart Completions records.
- Collaborate with Project, Engineering, Construction, Quality, CSU, and Operations teams.
- Follow all project‑specific safety directives, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Participate actively in regular safety meetings.
- Ensure all incidents are reported, investigated, and corrective actions implemented.
- 5–10 years of experience in document management and Completions activities.
- Experience with Hexagon Smart Completions preferred.
- Familiarity with Quality documentation on major projects.
- Strong understanding of Turnover (TO) processes and system‑based handover.
- Knowledge of Construction and Commissioning ITRs (“A” and “B” ITRs) and acceptance requirements.
- Ability to read P&IDs, SLDs, and other technical project documentation.
- Proactive thinker with strong planning skills.
- Self‑starter able to adapt to dynamic work environments.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and task‑focused.
- Positive, approachable, and attentive.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Deadline‑driven with strong understanding of schedules and project milestones.
